My best career training

Hello bloggers!
Today I will talk about my best career training. It is very difficult to choose only one, since in my four years studying I lost track of all the trips we have had. I can easily say that there have been more than twenty practices, between going as a student, assistant and support for research teachers.

I will talk about practice two, this was when I was in the second year of my career, in the year 2018 (summer period) and we went to Malleco. This place is in the Araucania region, in the province of Malleco, near to Curacutín.

We stayed at this beautiful place for a week in a stayed at a school. From which we traveled every day to the Malleco National Reserve and one day we went to the Malalcahuello national reserve.
In general, the theme of this activity was the characterization and analysis of the main types of forests. Mainly, old forests, of the genus Nothofagus, composed of Nothofagus dombeyi (Coihue), Nothofagus alpina (Raulí) and Nothofagus obliqua (Roble) and other pure formation of Nothofagus antarctica (Ñirre). And exceptionally we visited a formation of Araucaria Araucana (Pewen).  We evaluate the dynamics of these forests, all the changes that occur after these natural processes such as landslides, fires or after volcanic eruptions.

I think this has been one of the best practices for the places we visited, everything learned, the people who went and the tranquility granted by these majestic forests.

In addition, I tell you that when we were leaving this place I said that I was going back and I did it, the following year I returned as an assistant. It was an equally good experience and now I understood much better everything they had taught me before.

what has been your best career training?

Post Graduate Studies

Hey! What’s up!

Today I am going to tell you that in the near future I would like to do a master's degree.
I am very interested in a master's degree offered at my university, which is "Wild Areas and Nature Conservation".

Nature has always attracted my attention, since I was little and I grew up with the idea of studying something related to it. This is why I came to study forest engineering and now that I am here, I want to give a little more, take this magister as a specialty in the field of nature protection.

Since this option is presented so near, I would like to study in Chile. But I don't rule out the idea of doing a PhD in another country in the future. But I would first like to work a few years, raise some money and have more clarity about what I want to do the rest of my life or a little part of it. The country to which I would go to do this PhD is not clear, but I would like to go to a country that resembles Chile in terms of vegetation. Like Spain, Australia, New Zealand or something like that.

I would like to study with a system similar to the current one for master’s degree, which consists of regular classes throughout the week, to make good use of my time. While thinking about the PhD, I would like it to be partial, in order to have time to know the country and maybe have a job in parallel.

And you would like to do post graduate studies?

My future job

Hello bloggers! How are you?

Today I will talk about my future work.
I would like to work in the area of environmental law control, developing in state institutions, such as SAG, CONAF, SNASPE, among others. I would like to be a support to the country in environmental theme, like as in the review that the environmental compensation that big projects must make is carried out in a good way.

I imagine this job must be difficult, since integrate many areas, It includes vegetation, flora, fauna, land use, restrictions of various types such as, amount of pollution emitted by industries, maximum amount of noise emissions, including maximum number of floors that can have a construction. but I like challenges!

I would like to do a master's degree, in conservation and protected wild areas, to be able to expand my knowledge in this area and do a better future work. Since to preserve first you have to know.
I particularly like plants, their diversity and their contribution to this world, so I feel it is very important to protect them and for this it is very relevant that a correct human-environment interaction occurs. As I like plants, I like to travel and see them; I love the days of work in the field and knowing the great diversity that our country is home to.

I honestly do not see money as something very relevant, with which my salary reaching to live comfortably as long as I can develop in what I like, I am happy.

And you, what would you like to work on?

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE GAME

Crash bandicoot
Hello blogers!
My favourite video-game is Crash bandicoot, this game is about the adventures of a bandicoot called Crash.
I like this game because it reminds me my holidays in the country, where I played with my cousins. Besides, it has good graphics and beauty landscapes.
In this game Crash has to fight against mutant animal, who are directed by a bad villain. In order to rescue his girlfriend, but before that, he has to defeat the villain Neo Cortex. In an archipelago situated to the south of Australia.
My preferred part is when he has to climb on some stone giants and to defeat the giants, he hits them with his special attack. And other favourite part is when he screams saying “Wooah!”.

Aku-Aku
My favourite character is Aku-Aku, this is a human spirit reincarnated as a mask that helps Crash, giving him special powers, like invincibility. Aku-aku makes a sound very particular which is “Rutabaga”.I remember when I was eight years old, with a cousin, we had to order all the beds in the house, so my aunt let us play Crash bandicoot on the console called play station one. But I haven’t played it since a long time ago.

What is your favourite game?

A teacher that has inspired me

Hello dears bloggers!
I want to tell you that I have two favorite teachers and that it is very difficult to decide to talk about a specific one. But, I will tell you about my dearest teacher Jaime Hernández.

Within our career (forestry) we can develop in several areas, he is dedicated to teaching and research, among her main areas of work are: geomatics, landscape ecology, spatial analysis, among others.

Personally he was my teacher of Geomatis in the third year of college, he is a person who knows so much and explains this information very clearly, on the other hand he also, generates a very pleasant atmosphere within the community, with its closeness and sympathy. In addition to all the things he has taught us and that amazes me, he has done great work, such as a study on the spatial distribution of Chagas disease using environmental variables and people's knowledge. It’s amazing!

This year (2019) I am attending a workshop, where he is the guide teacher, this workshop is called advanced geomatics and in not much classes he has taught us so much. I love the ecological vision of the course, since we are studying the natural distribution of native species of the country. Also, he promotes free software!

I would love to do some work using all the tools he has given me.

The best holiday you've ever had

Hey! what's up!

Today I will talk about my best holiday I have ever had <3
Is a hard decision, all my holidays that I remember are with a lot affection, but I will travel in my memories to my last vacation. My trip began on February 4, it was the first time I got on a plane, I was preparing for an adventure for another world.
We were six young people and had only one purpose, to travel the so called austral road, we traveled for 10 days knowing beautiful natural places, among them, the cerro Castillo national park, the imposing marble cathedrals, Queulat National Park and many beautiful lakes and forests.
Each day was a new adventure, on the first day it was an achievement to reach the campsite, the second day was to reach the top of Cerro Castillo, the third to travel to the marble corrals, the fourth to reach Cohyaique, the fifth to be thrown away in In the middle of nowhere, the sixth to arrive at Queulat, the seventh to see the snowdrift and reach Puyuhuapi, the eighth to arrive at La Junta, the ninth to arrive at Chaiten and find passages to Puerto Montt and the tenth to return home.
I think I have never walked so many hours in a row, the backpack weighed lots, the sun burned strong and the wind was so strong that it moved us, but it was worth it completely, the view was beautiful.

I want to share 2 photos with you! See you later!

A country i'd like to visit

Hello bloggers!
Today I come to talk about my big dream of travelling to Mexico!
First, I`ll mention my reason; since I was in the school I have wanted to travel to this country, its culture, its history, beautiful landscape, the gastronomy and many more other things. They are reason for me to go in the direction of these places and my special interest.
I remember when I was studying I had to find information about the Aztecs civilization, about their big construction in rock, with which they formed incredible pyramids, as the Tenochtitlan. Its culture bound directly to the mother earth, which I think is just amazing!
Other reason why I’d visit this place is for its paradisiacal beaches, with turquoise waters and white sand. Also, the possibility of trying many exotic fruits and traditional meals like tacos, chilaquiles, tamales and enchiladas.
It’d be a trip to spend a couple of weeks or months, but I don’t think I’d live in this country for the internal problem in the country and the conflict whit the near country (USA). Consequently, I wouldn’t like to study or work in this place.
But there is no doubt that when I had the opportunity to travel this will be my first destination crossing the borders of my country.
